Mediation

Bolton Mediation

Mediation is used to resolve conflict in different settings. Mediators are impartial, they listen to all parties in a dispute, they don't judge. Mediators aim to help the parties come to an agreement that is fair and acceptable to all involved.

Bolton Mediation is free to anyone living or working in the Borough of Bolton involved in any type of dispute.

Community Mediation

Mediators can work with any kind of conflict in the community from neighbours in dispute, to families who are having difficulties with relationships.

Victim/Offender Mediation

Bolton Mediation also works with young people and the people they offend against. Mediators carry out victim awareness programmes, help young people to write letters of apology, and carry out face to face mediation.

Medi8-Mediation in Schools

Funded by Bolton Children's Fund, the main objective is to help young people aged 11-13 to deal with disputes in school. Mediation aims to help reduce the number of exclusions whilst building stronger and safer school communities.

Medi8-Reparation in Schools

This process aims to repair any harm or damage caused by young people. Reparation is achieved through positive activities such as gardening and litter picking.

Workplace Mediation

Mediators work with individuals and teams at work within Bolton MBC and voluntary organisations.

Safer Communities

Mediation is working to prevent anti-social behaviour by working with whole communities to understand and reduce the number of reports of nuisance that involve young people

Time 2 Talk

Bolton Mediation works with Aftercare, Homeless Welfare and Urban Outreach to mediate between parents or carers and young people at risk of becoming homeless.

Could you help settle a dispute or work with a young person who wants to make amends?

Bolton and Salford Mediation could not be the success it is today without the many volunteers we have. The organisation has grown in size since it began in 1992 and we now have over 100 volunteers and 9 staff.
